ZİYA PAŞA
(Mi: 1825 - 1880) İstanbul'da doğmuş ve Adana'da vali iken vefat etmiştir. İslâm-Türk hürriyet-perverlerinden olan Ziya Paşa, "zekâvette alemdar" bir şahsiyet olmasına rağmen, kâinatta cereyan eden hâdiselerin gaye ve hikmeti karşısında şaşırmış, bu sebebten ıztırab çekiyor. " Eyvah kimden kime şekvâ edeyim, ben dahi şaştım" diye feryad etmiştir. Yine kâinattaki İlâhi güzellik ve zahirde çirkin olarak gözüken, fakat neticesi hayır ve hikmetler dolu olan hadiseler karşısında da; Cenab-ı Hakk'ı tesbih ederek
